Mike Duffner Award

The Mike Duffner Award is bestowed on one or more graduating seniors who have shown commitment and dedication to the Chesterbrook Swim Team. The award  goes beyond recognizing outstanding swimming performances and highlights those that embrace the Chesterbrook culture.

Together with the Will Sarosdy Award, the Mike Duffner Award is the highest honor that a Chesterbrook swimmer can receive. Based on input from the coaching staff, team reps, team members, and the Chesterbrook community, Mike Duffner Award will be announced at the end of a swim season when a worthy candidate or candidates merit the honor.

The award was created to honor Mike Duffner who was the manager of Chesterbrook Swim & Tennis for almost thirty years, before retiring in 2011-2012. The Duffner award was first given during the 1990s to honor the graduating senior who best exemplifies sportsmanship and the character of Chesterbrook Swimming.
